Recent UFO sighting over Phoenix officially written off as flares according to local Air Force

ABC affiliate ABC 15 received several reports last night about lights in the sky in northwest Phoenix, around 8:30 pm.  One eyewitness stated in an email to the station that she saw “what looked like 2 meteors falling from the sky, with flames and sparks trailing behind them, began turning and moving. Lights were going off and on, the flames and sparks would come and go.”  The explanation for the lights came rather quickly, with not one, but two explanations offered.

Baby dies, after French family see naked man and mistake him for the 'Devil' and jump from the balcony of their third floor apartment!

A baby was killed and several more people seriously injured when a family of 11 threw themselves from a third-floor flat to flee a man they mistook for the devil, French investigators said.  The bizarre tragedy came to light on Saturday when firefighters were called to the village of La Verriere on the outskirts of Paris following reports that several people had jumped from a balcony in a welfare housing block.
Among the injured they found an entirely naked man of African origin with a knife wound in his hand and two children, a baby and a two-year-old girl. The baby died later after receiving hospital treatment in Paris.

Albino boy dismembered by gang for body parts near Burudi-Tanzania...for magic potions!

The boy, aged nine, was taken from Makamba province in Burundi by a gang that crossed the border, the head of Burundi's albino association said.  Kassim Kazungu told AFP the remains had been recovered from the Malagarazi river and given a formal burial.  Albino body parts are prized in parts of Africa, with witch-doctors claiming they have special powers.

Paganism is on the rise in the Southeast of the United States

Advocates of paganism say it is on the rise in the "Southeast Valley, mirroring a nationwide trend of growth in nature-based religions. Many local followers have been celebrating their beliefs and seeking the same acceptance and respect as any other religion.  Heather Frazier, owner of A Magickal Moon store in Tempe, which serves the pagan community, says acceptance is definitely growing as more pagans buck stereotypes and blend in with the mainstream.

According to a 25 year-old study from the Supernatural Angel Report,  Britain has had over 775 supernatural police reports in the last quarter century!

The Supernatural Angel Report compiled a list of supposed paranormal occurrences which have been reported to the police over the past two and a half decades.  A total of 755 incidents were documented ranging from healing and helpful entities, to visions of angels and animal spirits.

Satanists hold exorcism at Oklahoma  City Civic Center

Dozens gathered to protest at the city's Civic Center where a Satanic group held a ritual Thursday night.  All the chanting, people and emotions were expected after the Church of Four Kings Princes announced it would be holding a satanic exorcism just a week before Halloween inside Oklahoma City's Civic Center.
"We actually believe it's about time that Satanism stops being underground," Jamie Cox with Church of Four Kings Princes said when asked why the ritual was held in such a public location.

Voodoo and voodoo dolls the cause of Ohio families tragedies!

Patricia Martins hurried out the door to take her kids to school just as the sun climbed from the horizon last week. Scattered around her car, she made a strange discovery: Five voodoo dolls with the names of her and her family pinned on them.  Some might have seen it as a Halloween prank, but to Martins, the act was a threat and a supernatural curse. She told her children not to touch the push pin-riddled dolls and called police.
Martins, a 39-year-old Mansfield resident, said her life hasn't been the same since the voodoo dolls entered it.

Ancient British carving the Uffington White Horse may actually be the Uffington Dog

Retired vet Olaf Swarbrick has said the ancient carving in the Oxfordshire hillside is not anatomically correct and has more canine-like features.  But the National Trust, which said soil samples indicated that the figure dated back 3,000 years to the Bronze Age, has rejected Mr Swarbrick's ideas.  However it admitted there were many theories about the carving.

Long View, Texas family shoots critter and assumes it could be a chupacabra!

An East Texas family says they had no choice but to open fire when a 35-pound, canine-like animal started snarling and snapping at their family pet.  It was something they had never seen. Their only thought? It must be a Chupacabra.  The creature was spotted near a home on Hunt Road, in a rural area near Pine Tree.  They first saw it fighting with the family dog, but the Valenzuela family could not identify exactly what they were seeing.

Islamic healers in Malaysia capture over twelve Djin, terrorizing a family home in Kerith

Three healers from Terengganu Islamic Foundation (YIT) claim they captured 12 more djinns from the house of Siti Balqis Mohd Nor after she disappeared again on Saturday night.

Australian astronomer believes he may have detected a 'strange' signal from newly discovered planet

The recent discovery of Gliese 581g, an alien planet in the habitable zone of another star, has been an exciting development for scientists probing the galaxy for signs of extraterrestrial life. Children in UK being taught how to prepare for UFO crashes!

here seems to be a growing trend among schools to stage a UFO crash, and then teach students how to react, as well as to “properly” investigate and report on the incident.  It sounds like a lot of fun, and a great way to fire up a student’s imagination as well as writing skills. Hell, I wish we would have done a staged UFO crash at my school.  The latest “UFO drill” took place Wed, Sept 29, at Sandford Primary School in the UK. The kids were treated to a full UFO crash scenario that included wreckage, police tape, and real police officers. (Perhaps it was only lacking men from the government telling the children not to talk about what was seen.)

Japanese space probe may have brought extraterrestrial life back to Earth, according to JAXA, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency!

Like something out of a sci-fi movie, did alien particles find their way inside a space probe that landed on an asteroid and returned to Earth?  That question was raised last week by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, or JAXA, according to Japanese news agencies. Scientists reportedly found small, odd particles inside Japan's Hayabusa spacecraft, which returned to Earth in June after a seven-year, 3-billion-mile journey that took it to an asteroid and back.

NASA images of Saturn are a hoax, according to conspiracy theoriests!

Alien conspiracy theorists are confident they've caught NASA in the act of covering up the fact we are not alone in the universe.  A video posted on YouTube yesterday showed how an image of Saturn's moons Dione and Titan, taken by NASA's Cassini orbiter, had been Photoshopped before being added to a Picture of the Day website.  In the video, "DominatorPS3" turned up the brightness levels on the photo to show that a "huge" object can be seen behind the smaller moon, Dione.  Clearly visible are brush strokes that show how the rainbow aura of the object has been blacked out.  "More solid proof of NASA/ government coverups," DominatorPS3 said.  "... and this is recent. Southern Baptist theologian warns Christians that yoga is spiritually dangerous!

A Southern Baptist leader who is calling for Christians to avoid yoga and its spiritual attachments is getting plenty of pushback from enthusiasts who defend the ancient practice.  Southern Baptist Seminary President Albert Mohler says the stretching and meditative discipline derived from Eastern religions is not a Christian pathway to God.  Mohler said he objects to "the idea that the body is a vehicle for reaching consciousness with the divine."  "That's just not Christianity," Mohler told The Associated Press.

Unicorn spotted in Toronto?

Amateur video depicting what could be one of the most elusive legendary creatures, the unicorn, has been captured on film by a Toronto resident. The video in question, shot by a local birdwatcher, Peter Hickey-Jones, shows what appears to be a white horse with a single horn on its head emerging from the trees in the Don Valley wetland.

The accidental photograph on today's front page of a UFO over a popular tourist destination occurred only hours before a bright light buzzed the crowd at the Katherine Show.  Victorian tourist Adam Rewuk did not realise he captured the image of the flying saucer over Katherine Gorge until he looked back over his photos after the trip.

English dog walker catches photo of UFO in Cumbria

Bob Atkins was using his mobile phone to video his dog as it played in a pool of water at Roanhead on the south Cumbrian coast.  When he later studied the footage he was staggered by what he saw.  The strange event he captured on film lasted barely a second – a second in which a solid looking dark object flashed across the sky at immense speed.  It was only when Bob slowed down the film that he first saw the object clearly. Was it a strange bird?

Russia to plan 'space hotel'

Orbital Technologies says its "comfortable" four-room guest house could be in orbit by 2016, Russia's RIA Novosti news agency reports.  Guests would be ferried to the hotel on a Soyuz shuttle of the type used to transport cosmonauts to the International Space Station (ISS).  The Moscow-based firm did not reveal how the hotel would be built or funded.

5. But don't worry, these are peace-loving aliens who like to deactivate nuclear warheads and then disappear into the cosmos before they can be thanked for their pacifist actions.
6. If you are not having any luck tracking down a UFO, don't worry. They usually leave no traces, or if they do the security agencies quickly send round the men in black to erase them.

Atheists and agnostics know more about religion then the average church-goer according to new research

A new survey of Americans' knowledge of religion found that atheists, agnostics, Jews and Mormons outperformed Protestants and Roman Catholics in answering questions about major religions, while many respondents could not correctly give the most basic tenets of their own faiths.  Forty-five percent of Roman Catholics who participated in the study didn't know that, according to church teaching, the bread and wine used in Holy Communion is not just a symbol, but becomes the body and blood of Christ.

United Nations set to create diplomatic possession for greeting ET!

Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact.  Aliens who landed on earth and asked: “Take me to your leader” would be directed to Mrs Othman.
