Washington Post article reminds us that Bohemian Grove will soon begin it's summer private festivities...

Every July, some of the richest and most powerful men in the world gather at a 2,700 acre campground in Monte Rio, Calif., for two weeks of heavy drinking, super-secret talks, druid worship (the group insists they are simply “revering the Redwoods”), and other rituals.  Their purpose: to escape the “frontier culture,” or uncivilized interests, of common men.

Ohio man records UFO hovering over Lake Eerie

It’s not the first time someone has recorded images of something mysterious over Lake Erie, but a Northeast Ohio man says it’s the first time an image is clear.  “It was probably one of the craziest nights of activity I’ve ever experienced,” said Michael Lee Hill. Hill is a self-described UFO enthusiast who just released some never-before-seen video he claims to have recorded along the lakefront. According to Hill, the video was shot near his Eastlake home in November.

Skeptics dubious about captured 'UFO battle' video

A San Diego-based UFO researcher named Ed Grimsley captured what one writer called "multiple unidentified flying objects" that were "saucer-shaped [and] appeared to hover in the sky and change direction before moving out of sight." The video was taken April 30 with Grimsley's organization, Skywatch.
To the trained eye, however, this video appears to show something much more banal than a UFO battle.

West Hollywood psychic arrested for fraud, and burglary among other charges after advising woman to buy gold bars to create a 'shield' to ward off evil

A woman claiming to be a psychic will be arraigned today on 36 felony counts relating to commercial burglary, credit fraud and grand theft against an Irvine woman. Lisa Debbie Adams, 34, told an Irvine woman she was cursed and instructed her do things like purchase $30,000 in gold bars to create a “shield” and open credit cards to buy luxury items to “ward off evil,” according to the district attorney’s office.

According to a professor at the University of Cambridge, by combining Biblical references and modern astronomy...The Last Supper was 24 hours early!

Christians have long marked Jesus Christ's Last Supper on Maundy Thursday but new research by a leading academic suggests they have got the wrong date.  Professor Colin Humphreys, a scientist at the University of Cambridge, has now concluded that the final meal took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion, a day earlier than previously accepted.  He believes his findings, which are likely to cause ripples among millions of Christians, could present a case for finally introducing a fixed date for Easter.

Anthony Hopkins movie The Rite, based on the story of real-life priest, Father Gary Thomas, with five exorcised demons under his belt!

For the last four years, Father Gary Thomas has served at the Sacred Heart parish in Saratoga, Calif., a bucolic suburb of San Jose. But the 53-year-old Roman Catholic priest does a lot more than say Mass and listen to confessions — he is also one of about 14 Vatican-certified exorcists working in the U.S. and the real-life counterpart to the character played by newcomer Colin O'Donoghue in the new thriller "The Rite," which opens Friday.

Rural Georgetown, California handyman shoots chupacabra near his trailer...which turns out to be a hairless bear cub

To handyman Frank Gallo, the creature that almost attacked him beside his rural trailer several days ago looked like the legendary Chupacabra.  "Scared the hell out of me," Gallo said. "It crouched and faced me and I shot two warning shots at it - 357-magnum, from 20-feet."

New Zealand's Ministry of Defense to release UFO documents dating back to the 1950's

The Ministry of Defence is set to release documents it has collected on UFO sightings in New Zealand.  There are more than 2000 pages of material which date back to the 1950s.  They have been held by Archives New Zealand, which was set to make them available in February this year after requests from the public.  However the Defence Force said it needed to remove personal identification from the files in order to comply with the Privacy Act.

Australian astrophysicist Stephen Hughes believes he has the answers for most UFO sightings

Some UFO sightings could be explained by ball lightning and other atmospheric phenomena, claims Australian astrophysicist Stephen Hughes.  The scientist has made a detailed study of an unusual event in 2006 when large meteors were observed over Brisbane.  Their appearance occurred at the same time as a brilliant green object was seen to roll over nearby mountains.

Is there really a lost unicorn in New York City

Typically, missing-animal posters encourage one to wonder: Have I ever seen that creature?  In the case of one "missing" poster seen on the Upper West Side in New York earlier this month, the lost animal was not a puppy or someone’s cat. It was a unicorn.  Described as a female with a friendly disposition, the missing unicorn in question and the poster belonged to Camomile Hixon, a New York-based painter.  The missing unicorn, in fact, was part of a larger vision for New York City.

Ghost haunts Texas county clerk office where she used to work!

They say she refused to leave her desk after she was voted out of office.  They say it took the sheriff and his deputies to forcibly evict her so the newly elected county clerk could start her term.  And now, they say, she's back.  "That woman drives us nuts sometimes," said Cynthia Jaqua, commissioners' court recorder in the county clerk's office. "There's all kind of strange things that happen."  Jaqua tells the story of how she had gone up to the attic to put away some papers and found the attic light on.  "I said, 'Somebody didn't turn out the light.' Then, bloop, the lights went out. I was nowhere near the light switch. Irene did it," Jaqua said.  Irene, who the folks in the county clerk's office refer to as "our ghost," would be the late Irene Nuhn, who was the Comal County clerk as late as the early 1980s.

Palmdale, California missing cult members found, safely, at local park, police question cult leader and hospitalize her for mental evaluation

Missing members of a break-off religious group, who were reported missing by their families Saturday, have been found alive and well at a park in Palmdale.  The 5 adults and 8 children were spotted late Sunday morning at Jackie Robinson Park in Palmdale, according to sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.  They're all alive and well, Whitmore said. They told deputies they had no intention of harming themselves. Sheriff's officials say there is no criminal investigation planned. But they are interviewing the leader of the group, 32-year-old Reyna Marisol Chicas, of Palmdale, to try to figure out why the group went missing.

Police and family search for Palmdale, California search for missing members of local millennial cult, including leader Reyna Marisol Chicas

Crop circle capital, Wiltshire, England has another crop circle

A crop circle is a large pattern created by the flattening of a crop such as wheat or maize.  The first crop circle was found in Warminster, England, in the 1970s. Since then, hundreds of "crop circles" have been found all around the world, with 90% from the UK.  In 1991, two men from Southampton, England, announced that they had conceived the idea as a prank.
