Two Chinese girls commit suicide in attempt to time travel after watching Chinese sci-fi TV show

Time travel TV series have come under fire since two schoolgirls in East China's Fujian province killed themselves on Thursday after leaving notes saying the suicides could help them travel back to ancient times.

New Hampshire commemorates the site of the famous Betty and Barney Hill UFO abduction

Many states might shy away from immortalizing its UFO history. But the State of New Hampshire is known for its fiercely independent people and its “live free or die” motto. On July 20, 2011, it erected a historical marker to commemorate the September 19-20, 1961 close encounter and “lost” time of Portsmouth residents Betty and Barney Hill.

Cursed British arcade owner willing to pay two grand to whoever can help break the curse!

Doug Hill, who owns The Gauntlet shopping arcade in the town, received the curse disguised as a sympathy card.  Mr Hill said: "What they're doing is messing with people's lives, but I'm not taking the curse seriously."  The inside of the card includes symbols such as an inverted pentagram and Latin phrases.

Chinese villagers mistake malnourished monkey for alien life form!

This ape made a monkey of Chinese villagers who feared it was a visitor from another world.  Locals panicked when Mao Xiping, a housewife from the village of Gezhai, in Henan province, central China, found the scraggy simian stealing cucumbers from her flat.

Haunting 'ghost city' appears in China...or is it just a mirage?

Residents in a Chinese city have been stunned after a giant mirage of a 'ghost city' towered across the skyline.
The apparition appeared earlier this month after heavy rainfall and humid conditions along the Xin'an River in Huanshan City in East China.  Tall buildings, mountains and trees appeared to rise up through the ghostly mist that had descended over the river at dusk. There is usually nothing buy sky across the horizon.

Experts believe the Marlborough Mounds near Wiltshire, in England, may be the burial home of legendary wizard Merlin!

Radiocarbon dating tests were carried out on charcoal samples taken from Marlborough Mound, which lies in Marlborough College's grounds.  The 19m (62ft) high mound had previously mystified historians. Some believed it dated back to about 600 AD.  English Heritage said: "This is a very exciting time for British prehistory."

A MAN took a picture of an unidentified flying object (UFO) while holidaying in the outskirts of Kunming, China.  He did not notice anything strange in the sky until he looked at the photographs he took later.

Possible UFO spotted over Jerusalem?

A shining ball of light has been filmed hovering above a Jerusalem shrine, in footage which UFO enthusiasts say could finally prove aliens exist.  The clips show the pulsating orb descend and hover above the Dome of the Rock, an ancient Islamic shrine, before shooting up into the night sky. It then descends again and disappears.  Unusually, the sighting has been filmed from different viewpoints, meaning it has been more difficult to dismiss than most.

Does China have the first unicorn-cow?

A cow with a horn smack dab in the middle of its forehead is leading some people to claim the supposedly fictional unicorn is alive and well and living in northern China's Hebei province.  According to Metro.co.uk, the cow's farmer, Jia Kebing, first noticed a small bump on the cow's forehead when it was born two years ago, but he didn't expect it to grow into an 8-inch horn.  But it has, and so has the cow's popularity, even though the presence of two normal horns makes the animal more of a "tri-corn" than a unicorn.

At least twelve people killed by angry mob in Haiti, blaming witchcraft for the cholera  outbreak

Tensions simmered in Haiti Thursday with its political future hanging in the balance, as protesters renewed charges of vote-rigging and cholera fears led to deadly mob violence.  As vote-counting continued ahead of the expected release of preliminary results on Tuesday, candidates in last weekend's presidential and legislative elections remained split over whether to endorse the outcome.  With the impoverished Caribbean nation in limbo, several hundred opposition demonstrators peacefully took to the streets of Port-au-Prince seeking annulment of the vote to determine the successor to Rene Preval.

COMSTECH, an Islamic scientific think tank blames HAARP for global disasters such as earthquakes, including the recent flood in Pakistan!

Comstech’s magnificent headquarters are located on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad. It has been headed by Dr Atta-ur-Rahman since 1996. Although its performance has been consistently mediocre, the organisation has now descended to an all-time low.  Recently Dr Rahman published an eye-popping article entitled HAARP (Dawn, Oct 17). The article claims that a physics research project, based in Alaska, may have been used by the US to trigger earthquakes globally, and could also have caused the catastrophic floods in Pakistan. Dr Rahman concludes with a chilling question: “Is the HAARP then, a harmless research tool — or a weapon of mass destruction far more lethal than nuclear weapons? We may never know.”

Bo Si the Psychic Panda is no Paul the Psychic Octopus!

First there was Paul the octopus, now there's Bo Si, the "psychic" panda.  Bo Si picked a Chinese athlete to be the first gold medal winner of the Asian Games -- and Yuan Xiaochao promptly won for wushu, boosting the popularity of the 12 giant pandas at Xiangjiang Safari Park in Guangzhou.  But given China are so dominant, are favorites to finish top of the medals table and have the biggest squad at the Games, critics said it hardly proved Bo Si's telepathic powers.  And it emerged Bo Si had been given the option to pick a bamboo shoot, which represented a Chinese winner, or an apple for a foreigner. Pandas exist on a bamboo diet.

Budapest couple finds image of the Devil on their bathroom tile

The appearance of the Satan image has left her family fearing that the bathroom in their Budapest home has been possessed by the forces of evil.  Husband Laszlo, 52, had renovated the room at great expense, fitting it with a heavenly new bath, shower and tiles – but it’s made life hell.  Forty-seven-year-old Mrs Csrefko spotted the terrifying horned image after her first shower.  She told The Sun: ‘I was naked coming out of the shower and I could suddenly see his eyes staring into me. I just screamed and ran.’  Laszlo added: ‘We can't clean it off and it wasn't there when we put the tiles up. It just appeared overnight and nothing can move it.  ‘The room is always ice cold no matter how high we turn the heating up and we've just stopped using it because it's too spooky.

Chinese mass UFO sightings due to light reflections from outdoor lamps against camera lenses says astronomers

After a weeklong analysis of recent UFO sightings over Hong Kong, a scientist has concluded that the unknown objects were "ghost images" -- reflections of light generated by outdoor lamps caught by camera lenses.  According to China's People's Daily Online, Wang Sichao, a planetary astronomer at the Purple Hills Observatory (part of the Chinese Academy of Science), is convinced the UFOs' circular appearance had a very terrestrial explanation.  "I have analyzed and researched the UFOs," Wang said. "The closer the outdoor circular lamps are to the video image center, the brighter the 'ghost images' will be.

Man arrested for defrauding victims with 'witchcraft'

 Despite making promises of being able to conjure spirits to solve marital or other personal problems, a Brampton, Ont., man is charged with practising witchcraft to exorcise money from a victim.  Peel police aren't revealing much about the allegations against the suspect, but detectives at 21 Division are asking for other victims to come forward.  "We really don't care if you want to practise witchcraft, as long as you don't allegedly defraud people," Peel police Sgt. Zahir Shah said.

More UFO hysteria over China!

Shanghai Daily is reporting that a mass UFO sighting has taken place in the Chinese city of Chongqing, less than two weeks after another UFO sighting disrupted airline travel in Hangzhou.  On July 15, multiple witnesses reported “four lantern-like objects forming a diamond shape that hovered over Chongqing’s Shaping Park for over an hour.”

Blue and green lit UFO spotted by employees and tourists at Malaysian beach resort at Kota Kinabalu

The serene atmosphere at a beach resort near the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was quickly broken when a UFO allegedly appeared in the sky without warning on Saturday evening, according to Harian Metro, a Malaysian paper.  One witness, 27-year old Jemas Dungil, reported seeing a round, blue object floating in the air that turned green seconds later.

Romanian security guard captures photo of ghost in old building

You may think the photo was taken in a remote location in Transylvania. Well, it was not. Actually, the story emerges from the city of Braila in southeast Romania and may be related to the legend of the Ghost House on Ana Aslan Street.  Manuela Chirosca, a local security worker was guarding an old building, no. 29 on Ana Aslan Street, constructed in late 19th century. She was doing routine checks of the house two days ago (July 19). “It was about 7 AM when I was doing the morning tour of the house. I had a strong feeling that I am not alone,” she told Jurnalul National.

President Obama to personally involve himself with British computer hacker and UFO enthusiast Gary McKinnon extradition case?

Mr Obama pledged to find an ‘appropriate solution’ after David Cameron raised the issue of Asperger’s sufferer Gary McKinnon during his first visit to the White House as Prime Minister.  Mr McKinnon – supported by his mum Janis Sharp, from Brookmans Park, has fought an eight year legal battle to prevent his extradition to the US – where he faces up to 60 years in jail if convicted of computer hacking.  He admits hacking into US military computers in 2001 and 2002 but maintains he was looking for evidence of alien life.

UFO sighted over Chongqing province of China

Another unidentified flying object (UFO) has been spotted hovering over a part in southwestern China's Chongqing province after a similar sighting last week caused massive flight delays at a municipal airport, according to latest Chinese media reports.  All alleged witnesses of the latest sighting spoke of "four lantern-like objects", according to Chinese state-controlled news agency Xinhua.

Six elderly women sentenced for using witchcraft to murder within the Republic of Cameroon

Six elderly women all from the Bangwa ethnic group of Lebialem Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon but settled in the municipality of Muyuka, Fako Division, have been jailed for two to six years, for killing through witchcraft.  The women had been accused of killing their relatives and other inhabitants of Makanga neighbourhood in Muyuka, Southwest Region.  Sitting at the Muyuka Magistrate Court, Magistrate Divine Metiege Njikang pronounced the verdict, Thursday after the matter had dragged on for five years.
