The French village of Bugarach is the 'Noah's Ark' for 2012-UFO worshipping hippies!

Sects of doomsday believers have started descending on the tiny French town of Bugarach in the belief that it's the only place in the world that will survive the apocalypse they expect will occur on December 21, 2012, the BBC reports. Many spiritual groups believe that Bugarach, a farming village of just 200 residents nestled on the French side of the Pyrenees, has magical powers that emanate from the overlooking mountain, the Pic de Bugarach, according to Time Magazine.

Tampa, Florida -- An Ybor City restaurant's name has taken on a new meaning after some say the image of the Virgin Mary appeared on one of its walls. Ocean explorers believe they may have spotted a UFO at the bottom of the ocean floor near Scandinavia

An ocean exploration team led by Swedish researcher Peter Lindberg has found what some are suggesting is a crashed flying saucer. Lindberg's team, which has had success in the past recovering sunken ships and cargo, was using sonar to look for the century-old wreck of a ship that went down carrying several cases of a super-rare champagne. Instead, the team discovered what it claims is a mysterious round object that might (or might not) be extraterrestrial.

After political shakeup, Zahi Hawass (and SEVERE critic of ancient alien hypothesis) is fired from his post as Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs!

After nearly a decade as chief of Egypt's antiquities, Zahi Hawass is now out of a job.  The 64-year-old archaeologist was fired yesterday by Prime Minister Essam Sharaf as part of a wider shakeup of his cabinet. Nessie-like sea monster photographed in Alaska

A video from 2009 shows something mysterious moving across the surface of the sea that resembles an Alaskan version of the Loch Ness monster.  Some are claiming that the animal is a "Cadborosaurus," a type of reptile or lizard that got its name from Cadboro Bay, in British Columbia. A city nurse who lost her job after accessing a Memorial Hospital patient database said she was unfairly targeted because of her psychic abilities.  Lori Niell, who was an occupational health nurse for the city for eight years, said she made her supervisors uncomfortable so they accused her of accessing the encrypted and password-protected Physician Link patient database to find the medical history of patients and use that information to pretend to be a psychic.

Experts believe the Marlborough Mounds near Wiltshire, in England, may be the burial home of legendary wizard Merlin!

Radiocarbon dating tests were carried out on charcoal samples taken from Marlborough Mound, which lies in Marlborough College's grounds.  The 19m (62ft) high mound had previously mystified historians. Some believed it dated back to about 600 AD.  English Heritage said: "This is a very exciting time for British prehistory."
