Unidentified object falls from sky in Kenya

Panic hit a village in Kabati area in Thika District after a black object fell from the skies causing a loud explosion.  The incident, which happened on Saturday at 9am, drew attention from military personnel and bomb experts. They said the mysterious object weighed two kilograms.

TV show Finding Bigfoot cast say the reality show is a hoax!?

A complaint by the cast of “Finding Bigfoot” is spreading through the web. They’re claiming to be fed-up with the constant editing and presentation of the show. According to Matt Moneymaker from the BFRO, the producers like to edit the show so that it seems like the team at times is chasing shadows or possibly Bigfoot itself.

Boulder kills four during Voodoo ritual in Haiti

doctor in Haiti says four pilgrims died when a boulder fell on them on the peak day of a three-day Voodoo festival.  Dr. Pierre-Marie Cherenfant says the pilgrims were under a waterfall at the sacred site of Saut d'Eau when the accident happened Friday.

Brooklyn Voodoo candle sex ritual results in fire and fatality

Because medical help is scarce in Haiti, Voodoo priest are in high-demand for the psychologically traumatized

The search for an Houngan, or traditional voodoo priest, began with a drive through Cite Soleil, the notorious slum on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince. My driver told me that Houngans do not live in the city because they believe there are too many people, who crowd out the spirits. The best way to navigate in Haiti is to ask, because there are few street signs, and no signs telling you where you are. The driver keeps asking, and we are told to search beyond the city's landfill. The road to the landfill is littered with trash that falls from the trash trucks, but the trash dump itself is one of the cleanest places in Port au Prince. A young trash picker agrees to take us to an Houngan's house.

Palm Beach man goes to jail for tossing a brick through an another residents window ... because he put a 'voodoo curse' on him!

It is obvious that the voodoo curse upon West Palm Beach resident Renald Louis is working its magic. Louis spent his 26th birthday in a jail cell, humiliated, and forced to scrounge -- fruitlessly -- for the sums needed to pay his $25,000 bond.  His crime? Throwing a brick through the window of the man who allegedly cursed him, Delvin Carter.  The brick shattered the glass and landed on Carter's couch, nearly braining his 23-year-old daughter. (She was never in any danger, for it takes more than bricks to
harm a sorcerer's child.)  According to The Palm Beach Post, Delvin Carter heard the breaking glass and ran to his living room to see what had happened. Then he ran to his front yard, where he saw Renald Louis preparing to hurl a concrete paver. Carter yelled at his victim to drop the paver -- and he did! Magic! Then, Carter demanded to know why Louis had attacked his home. Louis responded, "You put voodoo on me!" Louis demanded Carter remove the curse.

New evidence shows 1950 mass UFO sighting intentionally kept off the press wire

San Antonio Spurs player Manu Ginobili's UFO sighting last week...really Red Bull skydivers?!

Last week we had concerns about Manu Ginobili being abducted by aliens. Or at least seeing a UFO of some kind while the team was in Los Angeles to knock off the Clippers.  Ginobili saw lights flying through the air in unusual ways that could not easily be explained….
Unless they were Red Bull skydivers.  Jon DeVore, writing on the Red Bull Airforce site (of course there is one, Red Bull is a marketing company that happens to make an energy drink) had this to say (via CBS Facts & Rumors):
As soon as I saw the videos on the news I busted up laughing. It was us jumping with our night flares. The next night my wife’s friend called her and told her that TMZ was reporting on it. I went on line and found that quite a few people were posting on the sightings. Even Manu Ginobili (San Antonio Spurs) saw the jump and reported UFO’s on his twitter and Face Book page.

Voodoo and voodoo dolls the cause of Ohio families tragedies!

Patricia Martins hurried out the door to take her kids to school just as the sun climbed from the horizon last week. Scattered around her car, she made a strange discovery: Five voodoo dolls with the names of her and her family pinned on them.  Some might have seen it as a Halloween prank, but to Martins, the act was a threat and a supernatural curse. She told her children not to touch the push pin-riddled dolls and called police.
Martins, a 39-year-old Mansfield resident, said her life hasn't been the same since the voodoo dolls entered it.

Atheists and agnostics know more about religion then the average church-goer according to new research

A new survey of Americans' knowledge of religion found that atheists, agnostics, Jews and Mormons outperformed Protestants and Roman Catholics in answering questions about major religions, while many respondents could not correctly give the most basic tenets of their own faiths.  Forty-five percent of Roman Catholics who participated in the study didn't know that, according to church teaching, the bread and wine used in Holy Communion is not just a symbol, but becomes the body and blood of Christ.

Doctors in the UK and Scotland warn of the dangers of homopathic 'vaccines'

Three practitioners admitted giving patients a homeopathic medicine designed to replace the MMR vaccine.  Inverness-based Katie Jarvis said she only offered "Homeopathic Prophylaxis" to patients who expressed an interest.  But the discovery has prompted a shocked reaction from doctors.  When asked about the practice, Ms Jarvis said: "The alternative that I would offer would be a homeopathic remedy made from diseased tissue, that comes from someone with that disease, and then made into potentised form so that is given in a homeopathic remedy.

Romanian witches scare lawmakers proposing a tax levy for witches and fortune tellers!

Abracadabra, we'll turn all of you into toads!  That's what Romanian senators may have been fearing when they rejected a proposal to tax witches and fortune tellers.  Lawmakers Alin Popoviciu and Cristi Dugulescu of the ruling Democratic Liberal Party drafted a law where witches and fortune tellers would have to produce receipts, and would also be held liable for wrong predictions, a measure which was part of the government's drive to increase revenue.  Romania's Senate voted down the proposal Tuesday. Popoviciu claimed lawmakers were frightened of being cursed.

Woman regenerates lost fingertip!?

After running inside from a rainstorm one Friday evening last January, Deepa Kulkarni leaned against the doorway with her right hand to take off her boots. Then, in an effort to make sure the dog didn't get out, someone slammed the door hard, and it landed right on her pinky.  Kulkarni thought the door had only bruised her finger, but then she looked down and saw the tip of her pinky lying on the floor.

German police arrest brothel madam for using 'voodoo magic' to force Nigerian girls into prostitution

German authorities were first alerted to the exploitation in the winter of 2009 when they arrested 20-year-old prostitute during a routine check at a Bonn bordello for having false identification.  She told officers that her "madam" had forced her into selling sex, handing over all of her earnings and not informing police using “voodoo magic” from the victim’s native country.  “Should she fail to adhere to this, she was threatened with sickness, madness and even death,” police said in a statement.  The madam reportedly used “voodoo packets,” which contained items such as finger nails, body hair, clothing and photos.  “The victims believe that the person who possesses these packets exercises power over them,” the police statement said.
