Sudanese man executed by beheading for sorcery in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's government should establish an immediate moratorium on executions in the kingdom, Amnesty International said today after a Sudanese man convicted of "sorcery" was put to death. Abdul Hamid bin Hussain bin Moustafa al-Fakki was beheaded in Madina on Monday. Saudi Arabia has now executed 44 people this year. Eleven were foreign nationals.

Angry mob in South African village fear 'talking' monkey and burn it to death for using witchcraft!

A Vervet monkey was burnt to death in Kagiso informal settlement, west of Joburg, after residents believed it was linked to witchcraft, The Star newspaper reported on Monday.

Opponents of Iranian president Ahmadinejad arrested for claims that he and his staff are using sorcery and spirits to stay in power!

Close allies of Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, have been accused of using supernatural powers to further his policies amid an increasingly bitter power struggle between him and the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.  Several people said to be close to the president and his chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, have been arrested in recent days and charged with being "magicians" and invoking djinns (spirits).
