In Mozambique, Africa, six people arrested for lynching and killing two elderly citizens suspected of being witches!

The killings have led to the arrest of six people, Radio Mozambique reports. A non-governmental organisation says at least 20 Mozambicans have been killed this year for alleged witchcraft. Such killings affect several African countries, where superstitious beliefs are rife because of poverty and illiteracy, correspondents say.

Former devil-worshiper and wife of police constable in Swaziland, Africa claims to give birth to seven-headed snake!

 

Patience Tsabedze (27), a self-confessed former devil worshipper says she ‘gave birth’ to the large serpent after experiencing labour pains, yet she was not pregnant, on the evening of Thursday, July 7, 2011.
According to her, the labour pains were so severe that she decided to go to toilet and ‘push out’ whatever was troubling her.  She says the seven-headed snake then came out and upon seeing it at the base of the toilet, she screamed for help.

A pir (healer/ exorcist) in Khanewal, Pakistan rids asthmatic girl of djinn by beating and burning, resulting in crippling her!

According to a nurse at Nishtar Hospital, Katchi Abadi resident Zakia was taken to a local pir by her family after she began to have an asthma attack. The pir, Safdar Khan, took the woman into a room and tied her up with rope. He then stuck a burning poker through her wrists and feet and beat her bloody with a stick.

British ex-banking consultant moves to Africa and becomes a witchdoctor!

Thomas Heathfield, 32, whose family hail from Maidenhead in Berkshire, renounced sleep for three days, rose at 2.30am to dance for the tribal ancestors and vomited up goats' bloods as part of his training to become a "sangoma".  He slept out in the bush, wore traditional robes and was sent to hunt for the animal body parts hidden by locals in the remote village of Mangweni, close to the Mozambican border in Mpumalanga province.

Miracle healer in Tanzania pleads with people to stop flocking to his community for miracle cures...due to high traffic to area!

Reverend Ambilikile "Babu" Mwasapile, 76, says he does not want any new arrivals until after Friday 1 April, to let the crowds die down.  Local media report that about 52 people have died while waiting to see him.  A BBC reporter says the queues to see him stretch for 26km (16 miles).

Albino child bleeds to death after being dismembered for ritual fetishes bought by witchdoctors in the African country of Burudi

British TV psychic (and exoricst?) plans to be buried alive...for charity

A SCUNTHORPE psychic will be buried six feet underground for charity.  Ian Lawman, who is also an exorcist and TV star, says he wants to stretch his talents and get as close to death without actually dying.  Of the week-long burial he said: “I have had the idea of being buried alive for two years now.  “At first it was just a thought, but now my coffin has been made I am becoming a lot more nervous.”  As the date of the burial approaches, Mr Lawman is training to ensure everything goes to plan.

Grandma accused of witchcraft in Ghana burnt to death!

A 72-year-old grandmother suffered one of the most barbaric of deaths when she was burnt alive by a mob at Tema Site 15 after being accused of being a witch.  A student-nurse, who appeared on the scene, attempted to rescue the old woman from her ordeal but she died of her burns within 24 hours of arrival at the Tema General Hospital.  Five people who allegedly tortured and extracted the confessions of witchcraft from Ama Hemmah before drenching her in petrol and setting her ablaze have been arrested by the Tema Police.

New photo at Loch Ness brings hope to Nessie hunters!

Richard Preston, a landscape designer, has been the latest person to spot a mysterious shape that might be the Loch Ness monster and capture a series of images on camera.  While working on Aldourie Castle gardens on the banks of the Loch Ness, 27-year-old Mr Preston spotted a shape on the loch's surface out of the corner of his eye.

'Flying object' falls to the sky in Florida

Several Polk County viewers called FOX 13 yesterday evening to report something in the sky.  The callers believed the object may have been a meteor or other object entering Earth's atmosphere.  Photos sent by one viewer showed the bright object with some sort of vapor or smoke trail behind it. They were taken at around 5:45 p.m.  It's not clear if the object was a passenger jet with its exhaust trail illuminated by the setting sun, or if it was a meteor or piece of space junk being burned up as it entered the atmosphere.  FOX 13 has been unable to reach any experts who could confirm either theory.

Albino boy dismembered by gang for body parts near Burudi-Tanzania...for magic potions!

The boy, aged nine, was taken from Makamba province in Burundi by a gang that crossed the border, the head of Burundi's albino association said.  Kassim Kazungu told AFP the remains had been recovered from the Malagarazi river and given a formal burial.  Albino body parts are prized in parts of Africa, with witch-doctors claiming they have special powers.

Paganism is on the rise in the Southeast of the United States

Advocates of paganism say it is on the rise in the "Southeast Valley, mirroring a nationwide trend of growth in nature-based religions. Many local followers have been celebrating their beliefs and seeking the same acceptance and respect as any other religion.  Heather Frazier, owner of A Magickal Moon store in Tempe, which serves the pagan community, says acceptance is definitely growing as more pagans buck stereotypes and blend in with the mainstream.

Kenya man arrested in Tanzania for attempting to sell an albino man...for 'magical' body parts!

Police in Tanzania say they have arrested a Kenyan national who was attempting to sell an albino man.  The arrest was made in a sting operation as police pretended to be businessmen buying albino body parts.  Police say they struck a deal equivalent to more than $250,000 (£159,000) for the 20-year-old man.  Albino body parts are prized in parts of Africa, with witchdoctors claiming they have special powers. The Tanzanian government has promised to take action.  According to the Tanzanian police a 28-year-old Kenyan man, Nathan Mutei, was arrested just outside the town of Mwanza as he attempted to sell an albino man.

Bombay High Court declares that Ganesha and all other Hindu gods cannot deal in stocks and shares!

Two judges at the Bombay High Court on Friday rejected a petition from a private religious trust to open accounts in the names of five deities, including the revered elephant-headed god, Ganesha.  "Trading in shares on the stock market requires certain skills and expertise and to expect this from deities would not be proper," judges P.B. Majumdar and Rajendra Sawant said, according to Indian newspapers.

Children accused of witchcraft on the rise throughout Africa, often with dangerous consequences

Orphans, street children, albinos and the disabled are most at risk.  A new Unicef report warns that children accused of being witches - some as young as eight - have been been burned, beaten and even killed as punishment.  The belief that a child could be a witch is a relatively modern development, researchers say.

MUFON reports that Illinois office workers see debris falling from flying UFO during daylight hours

A group of Illinois office workers observed a "copper colored, brightly flashing" object that hovered in the daytime sky while "smaller pieces appeared to be breaking away and falling rapidly" to the ground on July 16, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.  "It was much brighter than anything I have ever seen in the day light which is what drew my attention," the reporting witness stated.

UFO sighted over Chongqing province of China

Another unidentified flying object (UFO) has been spotted hovering over a part in southwestern China's Chongqing province after a similar sighting last week caused massive flight delays at a municipal airport, according to latest Chinese media reports.  All alleged witnesses of the latest sighting spoke of "four lantern-like objects", according to Chinese state-controlled news agency Xinhua.

Six elderly women sentenced for using witchcraft to murder within the Republic of Cameroon

Six elderly women all from the Bangwa ethnic group of Lebialem Division in the Southwest Region of Cameroon but settled in the municipality of Muyuka, Fako Division, have been jailed for two to six years, for killing through witchcraft.  The women had been accused of killing their relatives and other inhabitants of Makanga neighbourhood in Muyuka, Southwest Region.  Sitting at the Muyuka Magistrate Court, Magistrate Divine Metiege Njikang pronounced the verdict, Thursday after the matter had dragged on for five years.
