Possible UFO spotted over Jerusalem?

A shining ball of light has been filmed hovering above a Jerusalem shrine, in footage which UFO enthusiasts say could finally prove aliens exist.  The clips show the pulsating orb descend and hover above the Dome of the Rock, an ancient Islamic shrine, before shooting up into the night sky. It then descends again and disappears.  Unusually, the sighting has been filmed from different viewpoints, meaning it has been more difficult to dismiss than most.

Serbian census allows spot for extraterrestrials to declare themselves on upcoming questionnaire  

Space visitors will be able to list themselves as ETs/aliens but will not have to give details of their sex, religion or ethnicity, confirmed the country’s Statistical Office.  It follows the 2001 Census for England and Wales in which 390,000 people stated religion as ‘Jedi.’ The Office for National Statistics did not recognise it as a separate category, and incorporated them with the atheists.

Mississippi man caught naked in graveyard, merely haunting for spirit orbs

A Mississippi man found naked in a cemetery explained to Sheriff's deputies that he was not indulging in indecent exposure but was simply looking to snap some "spirit orb" photos.  Robert T Hurst, 47, was reeled in by deputies after a man was "photographed naked and setting up his own camera on a tripod by a game camera in the cemetery", the Picayune Item reports. The "game" camera had been installed after a spate of vandalism at the bone yard.  A local police officer recognised the man as the same individual he'd pulled over as part of a routine traffic stop.

According to a spokesperson for the California Department of Corrections, Charles Manson had an LG flip phone hidden under his mattress. He also used the phone and sent text messages to New Jersey, California and Florida. It is unclear who Charles Manson contacted and the nature of the messages has not yet been publicly released.

Ukrainian UFO enthusiasts plan to hold memorial for 'fallen angel' who have died crashing to Earth

Ufologists have started collecting money to build a memorial for fallen aliens in the Ukrainian city of Berdichev, Aleksandr Nalisman, project author, is quoted as saying by a local newspaper.  Ufologist said aliens, who visited the Earth, usually became the victims of different catastrophes. What is more, “people of Earth have not paid attention to the lives of the aliens”.  In order to prove the situation, the local ufologists have decided to build a “Fallen aliens memorial”. The design is not known, as it has not been discussed with the authorities yet.  According to the Ukrainian ufologists' data, there were some UFO catastrophes. For example, a jet fighter collided with a UFO in 1997 in the ancient city of Kherson.  The source says the UFO’s pieces were taken by Ukrainian soldiers for examination. Later, they succeeded in bringing down six more UFOs. It helped them “begin constructing its analogue”. Whether the scientists have found the remains of the fallen UFO pilots is not known.

Air Force reveals the  X-37B  robotic space plane, which has secretly been flying for several months in space!

After seven months in space, the U.S. Air Force's secretive X-37B unmanned space plane returned to Earth on Friday to wrap up a debut flight shrouded in secrecy.  The robotic X-37B space plane landed at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California to end its maiden voyage. The space plane, also known as Orbital Test Vehicle 1, glided back to Earth over the Pacific Ocean before landing at the revamped Vandenberg runway at about 1:16 a.m. PT Dec. 3.

Canadian homeowners hope to change address, because the number FOUR means death, according to Chinese numerology

Man searching for Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat goes missing

Donald Mackenzie, from Stornoway on Lewis, was last in touch with his family on 30 September.  Mr Mackenzie, who is in his 40s, was part of a Christian group looking for the site referred to in the biblical story.  A friend raised the alarm after he failed to return as expected from a solo expedition on the mountain.  The Foreign and Commonwealth Office confirmed that Mr Mackenzie had been reported missing.

United Nations set to create diplomatic possession for greeting ET!

Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact.  Aliens who landed on earth and asked: “Take me to your leader” would be directed to Mrs Othman. She will set out the details of her proposed new role at a Royal Society conference in Buckinghamshire next week.  The 58-year-old is expected to tell delegates that the proposal has been prompted by the recent discovery of hundreds of planets orbiting other starts, which is thought to make the discovery of extraterrestrial life more probable than ever before.  Mrs Othman is currently head of the UN’s little known Office for Outer Space Affairs (Unoosa).  In a recent talk to fellow scientists, she said: “The continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities, sustains the hope that some day human kind will received signals from extraterrestrials.

Vatican astronomer exclaims, "I'd love to baptize ET"!

Intelligent aliens may be living among the stars and are likely to have souls, a senior Vatican scientist said yesterday.  The Pope's astronomer, Guy Consolmagno, said he would be happy to 'baptise an al ien' - but admitted that the chances of communicating with life outside the Earth were low.  Speaking at the British Science Festival in Birmingham, Dr Consolmagno also dismissed Creationism and claimed that the revival of 'intelligent design' - the controversial theory that only God can explain gaps in the theory of evolution - was 'bad theology'.

World's very first astronomers may have been Australia's ancient Aborigines

An Australian study has uncovered signs that the country's ancient Aborigines may have been the world's first stargazers, pre-dating Stonehenge and Egypt's pyramids by thousands of years.  Ray Norris said widespread and detailed knowledge of the stars had been passed down through the generations by Aborigines, whose history dates back tens of millennia, in traditional songs and stories.  "We know there's lots of stories about the sky: songs, legends, myths," said Norris, an astronomer for Australia's science agency, the Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organisation (CSIRO).

Psychologist says their is no evidence of 'repressed memories', and traumatic events are not easily

The idea that traumatised people, especially the victims of child sexual abuse, deliberately repress horrific memories goes all the way back to the 19th century and the theories of Sigmund Freud himself.  But now some experts are saying the evidence points the other way.  Professor Grant Devilly, from Griffith University's Psychological Health research unit, says the memory usually works in the opposite way, with traumatised people reliving experiences they would rather forget.  "It's the opposite. They wish they couldn't think about it," he said.

Proof of life on Mars still possible says scientist

When Nasa's two Viking landers picked up and examined samples of Martian soil in 1976, scientists found no evidence for carbon-rich molecules or biology.  But after the Phoenix Mars Lander discovered the chlorine-containing chemical perchlorate in the planet's "arctic" region in 2008, scientists decided to re-visit the issue.

3-D crop circle appears in Wiltshire, England

The creators of the 70m-wide design in a field of wheat outside London remain a mystery.  The area is known as the UFO capital of Britain after repeated sightings of flying saucers and numerous crop circle appearances over the past few decades.  However, those hoping that the mysterious circle is a message are likely to be disappointed. Over a decade ago pranksters Doug Bower and Dave Chorley admitted to creating 200 crop circles around Warminster.

Bosnian man claims meteorites that keep hitting his home is due to angry aliens!

Radivoke Lajic, 50, said that his house being hit by rocks from space was the result of an extraterrestrial grudge.  "I am obviously being targeted by extraterrestrials," he said.  "I don't know what I have done to annoy them but there is no other explanation that makes sense.  "The chance of being hit by a meteorite is so small that getting hit six times has to be deliberate."  Mr Lajic, who lives in the village of Gornji Lajici in northern Bosnia, near Prijedor, said that the meteorite strikes always happen when it is raining.  The first meteorite struck his house in November 2007.

Possessed elephant rampages through a Liberian lumber company killing one employee, then it's trapped and crushed to death...and maybe eaten?!

Russian Satanic cult leader of the Noble Order of the Devil gets twenty-month prison sentence for violations against human rights

Bookies in Kazakhastan blame Paul the Psychic Octopus for their World Cup loss!

The Kazakhstan Association of Bookmakers has complained that its members made less than half of their expected profits after too many punters put their faith in the miracle octopus, rather than relying on their own predictive powers.  According to Kazakh newspaper Liter, they made a wafer-thin margin of 150m tenge (£670,000) on the 10 billion tenge (£44m) in bets placed.

Does this mean we finally have laser guns!?

The Laser Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) can either be used on its own or alongside a gunnery system.  In May, the laser was used to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a series of tests.  Raytheon said the solid state fibre laser produces a 50 kilowatt beam and can be used against UAV, mortar, rockets and small surface ships.

The idea of using lasers as weapons has been around almost as long as the laser itself, invented in 1960.
