Psychic hired to help German farmer find his lost cow Yvonne!
A €10,000 reward is being offered in Germany for the safe return of a cow called Yvonne who went on the run in May after apparently sensing she was about to be sent to the slaughterhouse.  Yvonne, a six-year-old dairy cow, has, in the words of one newspaper, become "a kind of freedom fighter for the animal loving German republic" since she escaped from her field in the village of Zangberg, 50 miles north-east of Munich, on 24 May.

Fort Wayne, Indiana woman guilty in death of toddler over failed 'exorcism' attempt
A Fort Wayne woman Monday morning admitted she took part in an “exorcism” act that led to a toddler’s death.  Natasha N. Hawkins, 31, pleaded guilty to a Class A felony battery charge in the death of 2-year-old Jezaih King. In June, a jury found Jezaih’s mother, Latisha Lawson, guilty of murder.

Nessie sighted by locals of Loch Ness 
FOYERS shop and cafe owner Jan Hargreaves and her husband Simon believe they caught a glimpse of Loch Ness’s most elusive resident — Nessie.  It was while taking a break on the store’s front decking — looking out to the loch — when Mrs Hargreaves and kitchen worker Graham Baine spotted an unusual figure cutting a strange shape through the water.

Fist fights, drug use and other shenanigans abound at annual Summer Solstice at Stonehenge!
The summer solstice is meant to be a night and dawn of peace, love and amazement. But not all of those attending the celebrations at Stonehenge entered into the spirit of the event.  Druids, pagans and revellers watched as two men, one shirtless, staged a fist fight at the ancient monument in Wiltshire.

German Sea Life aquarium in search of next psychic octopus!
It's not every day you meet a psychic octopus like the one that predicted eight World Cup wins in a row last summer, but that isn't stopping a German aquarium chain from trying.  In honor of the Women's World Cup, which begins June 26 in Sinsheim, Germany, the Sea Life aquarium chain is looking for the next incarnation of Paul, the octopus who amazed the world by correctly predicting the results of Germany’s matches in the 2010 World Cup, according to TheLocal.de.

Germany honors and display the ashes of Paul the Psychic Octopus

Australian 'holy man' Tony Golossiancharged with sexual assault and misuse of intoxicating substances during a prayer session which involved a voodoo doll, fetishes and the victim's undergarments!
Voodoo dolls, pornographic text messages and fetishes made from the hair and underpants of a woman sexually assaulted during a series of prayer session were used to convince her she was cursed, the District Court has heard.  The alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court she had been raised a Greek Orthodox and taught by her parents that curses could be put on people causing ''generally just bad, bad things''.

English woman captures picture of a very strange UFO in Nuremberg
A woman from York captured an unexplained object in her holiday snaps this month, and wants your help identifying it.  Abbey Linfoot, 22, was on a European holiday with her boyfriend when she took a photo of this street in Nuremberg.  When she looked at the photo later, she saw something she couldn’t explain, high above the buildings.

Hunting party, lead by a psychic Dean Maynard, hunt for the 'Beast of Windermer' or Bownessie 'as the English Nessie' 

But for the past four years, a rumour of another ‘beast’ has circulated around the Lake District.  A team of investigators have now taken it upon themselves to find the now legendary ‘Bownessie’ in the waters of Windermere.  The crack team will descend onto the shores of the famous lake on Saturday.  Psychic Dean Maynard will lead the team after a recent sighting tip-off.  The excursion is the second the team has carried out in as many years, first hunting for the ‘monster’ in the summer of last year.

Romanian witches scare lawmakers proposing a tax levy for witches and fortune tellers!
Abracadabra, we'll turn all of you into toads!  That's what Romanian senators may have been fearing when they rejected a proposal to tax witches and fortune tellers.  Lawmakers Alin Popoviciu and Cristi Dugulescu of the ruling Democratic Liberal Party drafted a law where witches and fortune tellers would have to produce receipts, and would also be held liable for wrong predictions, a measure which was part of the government's drive to increase revenue.  Romania's Senate voted down the proposal Tuesday. Popoviciu claimed lawmakers were frightened of being cursed.

Woman regenerates lost fingertip!?
After running inside from a rainstorm one Friday evening last January, Deepa Kulkarni leaned against the doorway with her right hand to take off her boots. Then, in an effort to make sure the dog didn't get out, someone slammed the door hard, and it landed right on her pinky.  Kulkarni thought the door had only bruised her finger, but then she looked down and saw the tip of her pinky lying on the floor.

German police arrest brothel madam for using 'voodoo magic' to force Nigerian girls into prostitution
German authorities were first alerted to the exploitation in the winter of 2009 when they arrested 20-year-old prostitute during a routine check at a Bonn bordello for having false identification.  She told officers that her "madam" had forced her into selling sex, handing over all of her earnings and not informing police using “voodoo magic” from the victim’s native country.  “Should she fail to adhere to this, she was threatened with sickness, madness and even death,” police said in a statement.  The madam reportedly used “voodoo packets,” which contained items such as finger nails, body hair, clothing and photos.  “The victims believe that the person who possesses these packets exercises power over them,” the police statement said.
