Serial killer in Kenya arrested for seventeen murders, claims he was hired by a cult leader to ritually sacrifice one-hundred people...or so he claims
Philip Onyancha, 32, was arrested on Sunday after confessing to killing 17 people, mainly women.  He said he was recruited into a cult while at school by a teacher, who told him to kill 100 people and drink their blood for good fortune.  The teacher, who recently moved schools, was not at work on Thursday.

Cornwall couple discover image of baby Jesus on their wallpaper
A couple decorating their home had the fear of God put into them after this image of the baby Jesus appeared – on their WALLPAPER.  Stunned Sheila and Richard Woolhouse were stripping old wallpaper from their kitchen when they spotted the religious incarnation.  The eerie damp marking appears to show a baby wrapped in linen – with eyes, nose, mouth and hair clearly defined.

UFO flap witnessed and over Vatican by  security guards to the U.S. ambassador
Was Rome visited by Unidentified Flying Objects? Definitely, and once again the sightings in the skies over Vatican City stirred newspaper headlines and numerous TV news reports in Italy. According to recent reports, it seems that a UFO flap is taking place in Rome and that strange objects were also recorded on camera several times. The most important one is the footage of an odd luminous formation taken by three security guards stationed in front of the residence of the U.S. ambassador to the Vatican (Holy See). These were qualified witnesses since they are artillerymen, trained experts in air surveillance.  It was at 4 am in the night of June 7th when three men belonging to the 17° antiaircraft Regiment at the “Santa Barbara” station in Sabaudia (Latina province), spotted three spherical bright objects hovering in the sky above St. Peter’s dome in the Vatican, right in the center of Rome. They promptly filmed the unexpected nocturnal air show with a cell phone.

Vatican bishop decapitated in a 'ritual sacrifice' by his driver in Turkey
Murat Altun was said to have announced that he had killed the "great Satan" after allegedly murdering Luigi Padovese, according to a missionary news agency, AsiaNews.  The Vatican's spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, said he could neither confirm nor deny the report. In his weekly audience in St Peter's Square on Wednesday, Pope Benedict XVI said that the bishop's "unexpected and tragic death has left us dismayed".  Altun, who had been suffering from mental health problems according to reports, allegedly beheaded the 63-year-old Italian bishop at his summer house in a Mediterranean seaside town near Iskenderun in southern Turkey.  He told police that he had had a "divine revelation" instructing him to kill the bishop, reports said.

South African gamblers smoke brains of endangered vultures in hopes of 'predicting' World Cup results
Mark Anderson, of BirdLife South Africa, said he feared that belief in “muti” magic would accelerate the decline in rare Cape vultures. “Many vulture species across the world are in trouble. Our own species in southern Africa is declining sharply for a number of reasons, including reduced food availability, deliberate poisoning and electrocution from electricity pylons. “The harvesting of the birds’ heads by followers of muti magic is an additional threat these birds can’t endure.” Steve McKean, from the KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife group, who has been studying the impact of muti, said: “Our research suggests that killing of vultures for so-called traditional use could render the Cape vulture extinct in some parts of South Africa within half a century. In the worst case, the Cape vulture could be suffering population collapse within 12 years.”

Insurance company makes claim, it doesn't cover injuries during exorcisms!
An insurance company insists it has no obligation to cover injuries suffered during an "exorcism" by members of the City Church for all Nations. Cincinnati Insurance claims an autistic church member was restrained and assaulted until he vomited blood during the "exorcism."
The City Church for all Nations fka Cherry Hill Church (CHC) "operated a college ministry, which it called a 'school of theology,'" near Indiana University in 2007, according to the federal complaint.
"CHC made available its parsonage where 'students' in its 'school of theology' could pay rent and reside in the parsonage during their participation in the program," the insurer says.

Church in Connecticut tries to remove homosexuality in people by 'exorcising' evil spirits possessing them!
Science has found several provocative indications that homosexuality is a matter of physiology rather than choice--but some religious factions have another theory: evil spirits make people gay. The cure: "deliverance," known also by an older and more terrifying name: exorcism.  It’s nothing new for religious groups to claim that homosexuality is a pathology, or to similarly claim that gays can be "changed" or "cured." While there is evidence that some people who have identified in the past as gay have "changed" to become heterosexual, what is not clear is whether people who have "converted" to heterosexuality have really altered their fundamental sexual orientation. It is not uncommon for young heterosexuals to experiment with same-sex relationships; it’s also possible that at least some of those who say they were once gay, but no longer are, are predisposed to bisexuality and have simply chosen to ignore same-sex attraction.

Historian reveals Adolf Hitler was once worshiped as Vishnu in Kolkata, West Bengali
If Britain-based historian Nicholas Goodricke-Clarke is to be believed, German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler
was "compared to Kalki, the last avatar of Vishnu" by an Indian spiritualist, practitioner of occult and Nazi sympathiser from Kolkata, Savitri Devi.  Hitler was even worshipped in elite Bengali homes in Kolkata, says the writer at a time when Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will be essaying the role of the Nazi dictator in a new biopic to be directed by Rakesh Ranjan.

Russian psychic healer Anatoly  Kashpirovsky returns after fifteen year exile
Let's get one thing straight. Your level of understanding is this big," Anatoly Kashpirovsky announces, after striding on stage at north Moscow's Cosmos concert hall, indicating the space between his thumb and forefinger. "But mine is 1,000 times greater."  The 2,000-strong crowd looks suitably impressed. But then, having just shelled out the rouble equivalent of up to £60 a ticket and another £20 for one of Kashpirovsky's "remote healing" DVDs, they are clearly expecting to witness something out of the ordinary

...but wait, maybe that UFO was just a Falcon 9 rocket!
Logical explanations take all the fun out of UFO's. After the Falcon 9 rocket launched successfully, later, over on the other side of the world, people in Australia saw a spiraling object in their early morning skies, about 6 am local time. Geoffrey Wyatt, from the Sydney Observatory, said it appeared to have been the Falcon 9 rocket, which launched about an hour earlier.

Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic project to become real

The first thing you notice about the Mojave Air & Space Port is the large number of commercial airliners just sitting around under the desert sun. The climate here means it's the perfect place for aircraft manufacturers to store planes whose owners haven't managed to finish paying for them. If the spectre of this aviation elephants' graveyard wasn't strange enough, five miles to the west is the Tehachapi Pass Wind Farm - the second-biggest in the world, with more than 5,000 wind turbines.  It's a weird landscape; and it seems to inspire off-the-wall businesses, and the one-of-a-kind thinkers who run them. One of these businesses is called, with the kind of obviousness that seems redolent of a gentler age, the Spaceship Company - and in its workshop at the airfield, spaceships are being built.

Police try to remain neutral with both protesters and the  Bilderberg Group, currently meeting in Catalan, Spain
The enormous bald detective in beach shorts took the camera from my wife. "Let me see." He scrolled through the photographs, just taken, of me being detained at the campsite gates. He scrolled past, to see a photo of a limousine convoy, whooshing up the hill to Bilderberg. "I don't like this," he said, and waved a huge, disgruntled hand towards the conference hotel.  "Do you know how much this is costing?" asked Hannah. "Do you think the Spanish economy can afford all this?" Grimly, the enormous bald detective started deleting images of his comrades with his giant thumb. "Your opinion," he growled, "is right."

New Mexico paranormal researchers believe they've discovered a UFO landing site
Aliens exist, and they’ve landed in New Mexico before. So says a group of concerned citizens from Angel Fire, New Mexico known as the Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences, who say that after a vigorous investigation, an alien landing is the only explanation for the bizarre markings found in a pasture in Moreno Valley, outside of town. Not only has the Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences studied the pasture (owned by Judy Piper), but they’ve also had it examined by experts from the Mutual UFO Network, who confirm it is the real deal.  As it turns out, sparesely-populated Angel Fire is a “UFO hot spot,” according to Alliance president Janet Sailor. Probably because it is sparsely populated and aliens can land and leave without anybody from the alien visitor’s bureau pestering them. It’s kind of a pain when your flying saucer breaks down, though.

Haunted radio picks up mysterious radio programs despite having no power
The Pye valve wireless at Montrose Air Station, a heritage centre that tells the story of the men and women who served there, has no power and is not connected to any source of electricity.  The aerodrome has been a source of paranormal sightings and sounds for almost a century, with reports of ghostly figures, eerie footsteps and door handles turning, but the mysterious wireless broadcasts have had even the most sceptical staff at the station searching for a rational explanation.  The vintage radio set is kept in a recreation of a 940s room. Several people have heard Second World War era broadcasts including the big band sound of the Glenn Miller orchestra and speeches by Winston Churchill. The broadcasts come on at random and can last for up to half an hour.

Bigfoot expert claims he's on the verge of discovering the elusive hairy beast
Billy Willard says he’s on the verge of a major discovery that could change the way humans think about the natural world, not to mention their need for a creature-proof home security system. Here in Spotsylvania County, in the forests around Lake Anna, Willard contends there have been 14 sightings in the past decade of that most fabled of cryptozoic beasts: Bigfoot

Annual Bilderberg Group held in Barcelona, Spain prepares for protesters
The Bilderberg Club which has been meeting annually since it's first meeting at the Hotel Bilderberg in Oosterbeek, Netherlands, 1954 will open this weekend with a speech from Spanish prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero

Splash! Could that be the sound of Lord Mandelson hitting one of the Dolce hotel’s four pools? Or Robert Zoellick of the World Bank? Paul Volcker of the US Economic Recovery Advisory Board? Or merely the euro taking another dive?  That is the thing about the Bilderberg group’s top secret meetings: you never know quite what is going on behind the police checkpoints.  Across the world, secretaries to the rich and the powerful have blocked out the next three days in their bosses’ calendars for their annual gathering, this time at the Dolce in Sitges, one of Spain’s most exclusive resorts.  Normally, every minute of their working lives is accounted for but, each year, a couple of hundred of the world’s financial elite and the more business-friendly members of the political class disappear from view; supposedly to save the planet from the dangers of parochialism, the nationalist genie.  It is all terribly confidential — breathe a word about it and you’re out of the club — but the Bilderberg watcher Daniel Estulin claims to have a copy of the agenda. The big question this time around is whether the euro will survive. “They are afraid that the countries in trouble will leave and the euro will fall apart,” said Mr Estulin. “The biggest nightmare is if EU members return to nationally orientated policies.”

Monkey is able to control robot with it's mind
In a remarkable demonstration of brain-machine interface technology, researchers at the University of Pittsburgh have taught a monkey to use just its thoughts to control an advanced robotic arm and perform elaborate maneuvers with it.  It's not the first time a monkey with sensors implanted in its brains has controlled machines with its mind. But this seven-degrees-of-freedom robot arm is probably the most complex system a monkey has ever mastered with its thoughts alone.

Witch-doctors in South Africa hope for a World Cup victory with a little magical influence
"Eish, it is looking very good for South Africa," the 33-year-old Zulu witch-doctor said after casting her eyes over a seemingly random scattering of animal bones and sea shells during a seance in downtown Johannesburg.  "Look, the trouble is far, far away. No bombs," she added, pointing to a polished and highly decorated knuckle-bone lying apart from the mass of trinkets strewn across the concrete floor in the corner of a dingy bus station.

California used car dealer and 'master' of spiritual acupuncture fails to mystically cloak defrauding bank of $4 million dollars in home buying fraud
Ruben Hernandez, a former used car dealer from Downey, CA, was today sentenced to a dozen years in the klink for defrauding banks of about $4 million in home-buying fraud schemes. He was evidently someone who practiced a bastardized form of "applied magic" derived from West African traditions. The particular craft he practiced (reports say it included elements of Palo Mayombe) has become popular among Latin American drug dealers and criminals who wish to exact revenge upon enemies, or protect against prison time. At any rate, the guy's spells weren't very good. Snip from LA Times:

DARPA hopes to use prophetic abilities to detect dangerous pathogens!

Right now, preparing for new viral threats means looking to the past, creating hypotheses based on how pathogens have changed before. Now Darpa wants to reverse that strategy: test every possible outcome, to create a prophetic almanac that warns of viral mutations and outbreaks in advance — giving scientists the chance to change the course of the future before illness strikes.  The Pentagon’s far-out research arm has been zeroing in on the danger of mutating pathogens, and the corresponding problem of drug resistance, for years now. The agency is already funding tobacco-based vaccine production, a seven-day plan to thwart biothreats, and prescient viral infection detectors. And they’ve even set their sights on psychic medics, with a 2007 program that sought to turn docs into all-knowing illness predictors.  Now, Darpa wants the powers of premonition to wipe out viral threats altogether. They’re hosting a workshop for a new program, called “Prophecy,” that’ll develop methods to predict the rate, location and likely mutations of viral agents.

Somali man rises 'from the dead'?
The Somali man thought to be dead on a boat discovered near Haa Dhaal atoll Makunudhoo Monday has regained consciousness just before burial.  Island Chief Ibrahim Shareef, who earlier referred to the other five crewmen as saying that the man had died three days ago, said he started moving around 10:30 am Tuesday.
“When we took him out for burial, he suddenly started moving. His leg muscles and several other parts of his body were wearing off. He was in a compartment filled with water,” he said.  The man has been taken to the health centre where he is recovering with the other crewmen, Shareef added.

World's biggest UFO festival in Roswell, New Mexico may lose financial support from the city
A UFO could be headed for a crash -- a UFO festival. Officials in Roswell, New Mexico, may be pulling the financial plug on the annual UFO Festival. The event celebrates the supposed crash of a flying saucer near the town in the late 1940s. The festival includes a parade, complete with folks dressed as space aliens. But the City Council has approved a preliminary budget for next year, which doesn't include any money for the festival. One council member says its outrageous to spend $150,000 of the taxpayers money on the UFO event. This summer's festival is already funded and will go ahead as planned.
